In March 2014, nine members of the Swansea Bay group made a fascinating visit to the Morgan Motor Company’s factory in Malvern. We had an opportunity to tour all aspects of production from welding the chassis, panel beating the aluminium bodies, creating the ash frames (Morgan even has its own woodland) as well as the paintshop, upholstering and final finish processes. It was a wonderful glimpse into a highly-skilled, traditional world which also embraces cutting-edge technology. It was no wonder that our tour group also included a Morgan owner who had travelled from Melbourne to see how his wonderful car was made. Thanks to Andrew Hinton for organising the trip.
