Following an application by Mark Whalley in August, SBGAM have been awarded a £500 grant under npower's Community Volunteers initiative.

The request for support was aimed at promoting the image of SBGAM at the various events the Group attends and hosts.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank npower for their kind support of our Group.

The money will be used to purchase a number of items, including;

• Two Skill for Life Packages - one to be given as a prize at our next public dexterity event, the other for the 'Young Driver of the Year Award'
• PVC banner (to advertise the Group at events).
• Two trestle tables (to replace the flimsy wallpaper table currently used at events!)
• Gazebo with sides (to provide some protection against the elements when 'manning' our stand at events).
• Chairs (not that we would ever get time to sit down with all the interest in the Group!)
