With an excellent turn out, and a beautiful sunny day, the scene was set for the Annual Inter-Group Dexterity Event

A number of local IAM Groups; SBGAM, Cardiff, Carmarthen and Gwent were joined by members of the Fire and Ambulance Services in a day-long test of driving skills. Each team was divided in two, with one group participating in a treasure hunt whilst the other group was tested on a driving circuit including such obstacles as a slalom, height and width barriers, parallel parking, reversing and speed test - driving at 30 mph with the speedo covered!

Being the winners of the previous year's challenge, SBGAM again hosted this event, for which our thanks go to Visteon for the use of their car park and canteen, to Daewoo for providing two of their cars for the event and the the South Wales Police Constabulary for providing one of their traffic cars with speed camera!

The event was again a close run contest, but in the end, SBGAM took the overall prize and will therefore be hosting the event in 2004!
